Recently Emily, Austin and I went down to the Dana Point harbor for their engagement photos. They have a passionate connection to the ocean. Emily even volunteers at the Ocean Institute where they will have their wedding next year. And of course it will be ocean themed. I'm pretty dang excited about their upcoming wedding which will have open exhibits at the Ocean Institute including touch tanks and the like.

I had to have her explain that one to me... The plan, she explained, was to invite their closest family and friends to the Newport Dunes for an engagement party. The twist was that in the middle of the party they would surprise the would-be wedding party with the news that they would be getting married that night. It was a perfect day weather wise for a wedding ceremony right on the water's edge. They're such a great couple and a great family. But alas, the last daughter has been married so, unfortunately for me, no more wedding photography for them.
